TOGETHER WE NURTURE, TOGETHER WE RISE
Nurture Aid Initiative for Rohingya (NAIR)
A Rohingya- led community -based organization working to bring hope, dignity, education and empowerment to vulnerable Rohingya refugee in Cox’s bazar, Bangladesh
Providing Quality Education
Rohingya refugee children in camps face an uncertain future with limited access to formal education, overcrowded classrooms, and a lack of qualified teachers. Many remain unable to read or write, leaving them vulnerable to child labor, exploitation, and a cycle of poverty.
NAIR addresses this challenge by establishing safe learning spaces and offering quality, inclusive education for children and youth. We provide trained teachers, essential learning materials, and a curriculum that helps students develop literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills. By doing so, NAIR empowers Rohingya children to dream beyond camp boundaries and prepare for brighter futures.
Life Skills Training
In camp settings, young people often struggle with hopelessness, stress, and a lack of direction, which can lead to harmful coping mechanisms. Without opportunities to learn practical life skills, they are unprepared to face real-world challenges or build resilient livelihoods.
NAIR responds by offering structured life skills training, including communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and problem-solving. We also integrate awareness on health, hygiene, and social responsibility. These trainings nurture confidence, resilience, and adaptability, equipping Rohingya youth to make informed choices and contribute positively to their community.
Capacity Building Training
Many Rohingya adults have talents and experiences but lack professional training or recognition, making it hard for them to become leaders or earn sustainable incomes. Community leadership is also weakened due to displacement and limited access to resources.
NAIR provides capacity building programs focused on vocational skills, organizational management, and leadership development. Through training workshops, mentorship, and hands-on practice, we strengthen local capacities so that community members can lead initiatives, manage resources effectively, and create self-reliant solutions. This reduces dependency on external aid and builds long-term resilience.
Providing Emergency Reliefs
Life in refugee camps is fragile, with families constantly facing emergencies such as food shortages, natural disasters, shelter damage, and health crises. In such times, survival becomes a daily struggle.
NAIR steps in to provide immediate emergency relief, including food distribution, clean water, hygiene kits, temporary shelter, and medical support. Our rapid response ensures that families in crisis receive essential aid with dignity and care. Beyond immediate relief, we also focus on preparedness training communities in disaster risk reduction and response, so they are better equipped to face future emergencies.
Advocacy Workshops
The Rohingya community often feels voiceless, with their struggles unheard and their rights overlooked. Without platforms to speak, many remain silent victims of injustice.
NAIR creates safe spaces through advocacy workshops where community members, especially youth and women, can learn how to raise their voices, share their stories, and engage with local and international actors. These workshops build confidence, awareness of rights, and the power to advocate for justice and dignity. By strengthening voices from within, NAIR ensures that the Rohingya are not just seen as refugees in need, but as a people with rights, identity, and resilience.
Education & Protection Support
We provide books, notebooks, and other learning materials to support Rohingya children and youth in continuing their education. Through educational assistance, awareness sessions, and protection activities, we help create a safe and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and build a brighter future.
